Renowned French artist Bernar Venet, 82, has created a monumental installation for Maxx Royal Bodrum resort in Turkey. Commissioned by BASTOK LESSEL and Arts Connected, the artwork features six 21-meter-high Arcs at the bay's entrance. This installation exemplifies Venet's signature style of large-scale metal sculptures, known for their minimalist aesthetics and exploration of mathematical concepts. The Arcs, likely made of oxidized steel, create a dynamic visual experience that changes with light and perspective. They invite viewers to contemplate the relationship between art, space, and landscape. This permanent installation adds to Venet's global portfolio of public artworks and showcases his interest in site-specific creations. The installation not only enhances the resort's appeal but also offers guests the opportunity to engage with world-class art in an unexpected setting, creating a unique cultural landmark on the Turkish coast.
