“My visual language telegraphs this impermanence by illustrating our existence as a delicate assemblage of shapes unbound by flesh.”— Jason Boyd Kinsella
The gallery was happy to announce Jason Boyd Kinsella’s first solo exhibition in France. The artist’s ongoing investigation of the ever-changing state of being was showcased throughout the show, which also marked the unveiling of a new series of paintings.
Although Kinsella’s paintings have a clean surface that evokes the Old Masters, his style and technique are distinctly modern.
Following his initial design, he uses 3D software to further develop the color scheme before rendering it in oil and applying it to a canvas. He purposefully leaves the brushstrokes and tiny imperfections in the pictorial layer exposed to emphasize the artistry involved in his work.
